Yesterday was a good day.  I got a lesson of Algebra done, practiced a bit of violin, went to Walmart & got 2 & 3/4 yards of fabric, for only $3, and passed my learners permit test--on the first try.  I'm happy now.  The snow is still here---it's rather ugly, & looks as if it's here to stay for another week.  
I made this dress last night in record time.  (3 and 1/2 hours-- While listening to The honey trees, & simon and garfunkel--good times indeed.)

I went shopping with my mom and sisters today. Tomorrow we're having a party for new years. (NOTE TO SELF)--I need to write down my new years resolutions.

This'll be the last of the [beautiful] snow "snaps" for now. The snow's been here a week, & most likely will be here another. It's all a muddy, slushy, brown, gritty mess right now. I'll be 
happier when it's gone.

Good ol' 70's

My friend Cora & I are going combine our birthdays, to have a 70's disco party. My birthday is not 
until March, and hers is in June, so we'll hopefully have it in May--I've been having fun thinking about it. I'm planning to get a jumpsuit or something totally awesome like that at the GoodWill, but we'll see. I may just have to get some checkered pants.

This picture reminds me of something my Dad would draw, and I found it amusing.

Of Christmas ornaments & Snow

It's been snowing since early this morning.  I love it.  And, we got our Christmas tree on Thursday, & decorated it beautifully.

I have a head cold, so I did not do anything today, but lay around, and read Little Women.  I finished it, and always want it to go on, when I finish it.

Food, food, food & music.

Last Thanksgiving, we had flurries all day, then it got cold, windy, and rainy.  The year before that, we kept getting distracted all morning while we were trying to cook, by Michael Jackson's music videos on youtube.  This year we played loud music to listen to.

Audrey and I  spent a lot of our time this morning, fantasizing about a bakery/coffee shop that we want to open.  We don't want it to be JUST LIKE EVERY THER COFFEE SHOP AROUND HERE.  We already picked out the color scheme (taken from a dum dum lollipop wrapper), we would have missed-matched furniture from thrift stores, and we would serve "uncommon" food and drinks. The only problem is where could we open it?  I hope it works out.
